Along the way, our bus driver, Serkan, decided to follow some back roads so that we could see some of Turkey's cotton fields. Turkey grows a premium long fiber cotton; some us picked a cotton ball souvenir; Joanne and I did not.

At the end of the day, we rode on to Izmir where we encountered bumper to bumper traffic on the freeways just like Houston with arrival at our hotel after dark.
