Along the way, our bus driver, Serkan, decided to follow some back roads so that we could see some of Turkey's cotton fields. Turkey grows a premium long fiber cotton; some us picked a cotton ball souvenir; Joanne and I did not.

We walked down the long street photographed above to the Library continuing past the coliseum to the exit.  |

At the end of the day, we rode on to Izmir where we encountered bumper to bumper traffic on the freeways just like Houston with arrival at our hotel after dark.
