With Bursa Friendship Force - Iznik

We toured the ancient city of Iznik that dates back to the 2nd century.  It has Roman walls and aqueducts.  The most interesting to me is this is the place the Early Church hammered out the Nicean Creed (Apostles Creed) that we still say in church today!  It is the site of the early "Ecumenical Counsels."  It is ironic that the Apostle Paul converted so many Turks to become Christians, yet today 98% of Turkey is Muslim.

Little Hagia Sophia

The markets have luscious fruit and veggies at reasonable prices (for us!)
We created these two tile artwork pieces for our host, Nazan.

Fired Tiles - Nazan emailed this picture to us.

We had catfish for lunch at this excellent restaurant by the Lake Iznik.
