With Bursa Friendship Force Continued

Our day started with a drive into the mountains and a hike to a small village where we saw a 610 year old sycamore tree.  From there, you can see for miles across Bursa.  Richard took a tumble on his hip there, but he survived!  We saw views of Mount Olympus (8,234 ft), just beautiful!  We had a picnic with tea, sesame bread, cheese and Turkish sweets---then lunch at a traditional restaurant where we had the best pistachio nut baklava.

Bursa from Above

The Bursa Club treated us to a vibrant, delicious Farewell Party with lots of singing and dancing!  It was over the top!  It was difficult to say "goodbye" to Hazan and the rest of the generous members of the Bursa Club.  Tomorrow, we begin an 11-day journey of other interesting places in Turkey.
