Arrive Bali

 March 15 - We flew about 4 hours to Bali on Jet Star, Australia's value airline.  We were astonished at the Indonesian currency - it sure has a lot of zero's!  100,000 Rupiah is worth about $6.50 U.S.!  Invoices are thus in the millions!  We had a great flight and the hardest part of getting into Indonesia is filling out Custom Declaration forms. 

We booked a driver in advance who whisked us to the lovely Puri Santrian Resort, which was recommended by our Friendship Force friends.  It did not disappoint!  Accommodations were lovely, the grounds and gorgeous pools, ocean beach, food and people were over the top.  It is quite a value.  Food and drink are very reasonable, not to mention, the massages - only $18 US for the best hour of luxury!

We had lunch beach-side on a beautiful afternoon. I chose Mie Goreng and egg rolls. Before choices were excellent. We soaked and swam in both pools.  In the evening we walked down the beach side lane shared with electric moor bikes past other resorts to an Italian restaurant for very reasonably priced salmon and pasta dinners.
