Last night the PGIslanders sponsored a fun event - Escape Room!
The PGIslanders all escaped last night! |
About 30 of us divided into groups and went to Escape Room Unlocked, a local entertainment business. There were 5 special rooms set up and staged e.g., the Magician's Room had hats, locks, props, magic wand, etc. All the groups were assigned to different rooms and competed against one another. We had one hour to find the clues and escape the room.

Our group was in the Magician Room. Our clue master told us that we had to find Houdini's wand to be his assistant. The first clue had to do with flowers in a vase. We figured the number of the flower colors (5 red, 3 blue and 1 yellow) corresponded to the numbers to open a lock. Once we opened the lock, we received a deck of cards. The card numbers corresponded to another lock which gave us a key which opened another hidden frame on the wall. You get the idea! After an hour, no one in any of the groups had escaped so everyone was given an extra 5 minutes. That did the trick! Our group solved it and got the wand. Afterwards everyone went out to eat pizza at Brooklyn Joe's. A great evening of fun with good friends!
