Our Little Debbie

Late Sunday afternoon, water reached the top of our seawall at high tide. Wind whipped rain horizontally down our canal.  Tornado warning was issued for east side of Punta Gorda but no tornados were reported.

How big is Debbie? See screen capture below about 9:30 Sunday night .  With the center northwest of Tampa, Debbie covers the entire Florida peninsula.

Monday afternoon - The center has moved inland over the big bend; a long tail stretches across the state right over Punta Gorda and out into the Gulf.  Water back over the dock, but not the seawall.

Thunder and lightning right on top of us.
A portent of things to come?

Just finished reading the Testament, the sequel to the Handmaid's Tale.  Watched the documentary, Bad Faith, on Amazon Prime yesterday afternoon.   Checked out from the library Table for Two by Amor Towles.
