Outlanders at the SVdP Fashion Show

I participated in the St Vincent de Paul Fashion Show.  Dr. Jonelle McDonnell asked me to dress as a character from the Outlander's Series.  That certainly was novel and fun!

Go Fly a Kite

We joined the PGIslanders Boating Club at Pelican Bay for kite flying  on the sand bar along the entrance channel.

Stan and Pam from Kalamazoo Michigan, our house guests for the week, rode along with us on Lickity Split. Pam flew a kite while kept Stan kept himself busy shooting video.  Despite a valiant effort, Richard's kite just wouldn't fly while Joanne took the trophy with her mermaid kite. Watch the videos below.

World Friendship Force Day

We celebrated World Friendship Force Day in early March with our Club at Linda's beautiful home.  Everyone made their favorite "foreign food specialties", dressed in costumes and told great stories.  A really fun memorable time was had by all!

Friendship Force Inbound Journey

Also, in February, our Friendship Force Club welcomed its first Inbound Journey visitors since before the pandemic.  We had a great time time with mid west clubs - Detroit, Ohio, Wisconsin and others.  Although we did not house any visitors this time, we had fun attending events.  We will especially remember the FareWell Party at Michelle Kemps because we took our visitors there via pontoon boat.  They were delighted to land at Michelle's Peace River Dock and walk up to the festivities on her expansive lanai.

IYC Fashion Show

In February, the Isles Yacht Club (IYC) had a Fashion Show and I was asked to be a model.

Here I am posing for the pictures.  We all received free make overs and hair styling.  It was a whole lot of fun.

Since I received so many complements on my black outfit, I decided to purchase it.  Not bad for a gal in her 70's!

PGIslander Events - Poker Run

Our boat club, the PGIslanders, had a Poker Run in our canals.  It was a cool day on the water, but we had fun collecting our cards at the different stops along the way with our friends, Bernadette & Marty and Maggie & Bob.  Later we went to the Civic Association for dinner and prize announcements.
